Total Wreck Ghost Town Part 01

The Total Wreck mining operation belonged to the Empire Ranch. It has a strong connection with characters from Tombstone. The mine allowed for the expansion of the Empire ranch. The ranch owned several other ranches in Arizona, including the Rail X, Empirita and others.

I often use the word "tailings" interchangably with "overburden"; you will hear this in my videos. These sites are old and it is often difficult to tell one from the other and I choose to be lazy in my usage and just use "tailings". If you were wondering: I do know the difference.

In Part 01 we 4x4 in, hike and explore the stamp mill and some of the area. In Part 02 we explore the remains of the town site. In a future Part 03, we will try to locate some graves, the pump site and the remains of the old water tanks on the hill.
