The House of Representatives passed an amendment 221-213 to the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act overturning a Pentagon policy that paid for or reimbursed expenses related to abortion services for military members. Congressional Democrats have said they will not vote to pass the annual defense bill if the amendment is included in the final version.
