House Democrats condemn GOP amendments to annual defense bill

Speaking to CNN in Washington Thursday, Representatives Mike Quigley (D-IL), Ted Lieu (D-CA), and Jason Crow (D-CO) criticized House Republicans’ amendments to the 2023 National Defense Authorization Act. Rep. Lieu said the proposed legislation alienated women from joining the service. Rep. Crow said he wouldn’t support a defense bill that “directly attacks the men and women who have sworn an oath to defend this country.”
