One of the many comforts of the simulator over real life racing is not having to deal with natural disasters. Having experienced a forest fire in my home state of Oregon that nearly took out my town, I emphasize with those around the real-world area of Emilia Romagna. Even if the events may be in the rear-view mirror in the news, let this weekend of racing be a nice escape from whatever horrors of life, big or small, may be haunting us all.
