You can control your Xbox with your voice by using Amazon Alexa. You can use any Echo device, like an Echo Show, Echo Dot, Fire TV, or even the Alexa app on your phone (Android & iOS)

With Alexa connected to your Xbox you can do things like: turn the Xbox on/off, launch games, take a screenshot, and much more.

But if you are like me, you have several things you need to turn on for GAME TIME, not just your console. For me, I need to turn ON the TV, turn ON the Xbox, turn ON the ambient TV Lights, and switch the TV input to HDMI.

Instead of doing all of that one by one with Alexa, we can simply create a Routine that will turn everything ON with a single voice command, so we can get to gaming much faster 🔥

Setting up Alexa with your Xbox is a two step process.

First you need to enable SLEEP and Digital Assistance on your Xbox. And then you need to connect the Xbox to Alexa using the Alexa app on your phone.

*MAKE SURE your Xbox is TURNED ON and you are SIGNED-IN before you scan for the Xbox in the Alexa.

Once everything is connected, you can say things like: "Alexa, turn on the Xbox", or "Alexa, tell Xbox to launch Halo 5"

But we can make this even better by using Routines in Alexa so you'll be able to say something like: "Alexa, It's Game Time" and all your gaming gear and lights will come on with a single voice command. It's pretty cool.
