U.S. Marines with 4th Civil Affairs Group, Force Headquarters Group, in support of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force UNITAS LXIV, meet with the mayor along with other civilian leaders in Coveñas, Colombia, July 11, 2023. By meeting with local leaders, we forge bonds for the long-term advancement of our interests, maintaining favorable partnerships that deter aggression and support the stability that generates economic growth. UNITAS focuses on strengthening our existing regional partnerships and encouraging the establishment of new relationships through the exchange of maritime mission-focused knowledge and expertise.
