Members of the House Judiciary Committee grilled FBI Director Christopher Wray in a House Oversight Committee meeting with questions and accusations on Wednesday. The discussions between lawmakers  and Wray were occasionally harsh and angry as the director responded to inquiries, the majority of which were presented as charges that the FBI has a political agenda. The agency's response to the events of January 6, investigations into the former president Donald Trump, President Biden, and the larger Biden family, as well as the agency's use of the federal program known as FISA — the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act — which conducts foreign entity surveillance for national security reasons, were among the many topics Wray was questioned about by committee members. The meeting was convened by the Republican congressmen in control of the committee Jim Jordan of Ohio, to highlight their worry that the agency has become more politicized under Wray's direction.
