A 26-year-old man is facing charges after police say he fled a traffic stop in Georgia, only to be arrested days later.

On Wednesday, the Atlanta Police Department released information and video showing the arrest of Brandon McGill.

According to police, a traffic stop was initiated on July 4 after an officer saw a Dodge Charger driving with a damaged windshield and side window. As the officer approached the car, it sped off. The officer quickly lost sight of it.

Two days later, police tracked the vehicle to an apartment complex in northwest Atlanta.

An APD aerial unit provided coverage and directed officers on the ground as the suspect was seen running for cover. He was eventually taken into custody.

McGill was identified as a convicted felon with two outstanding warrants. He was charged with obstruction and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, as well as felony fleeing and eluding, reckless driving and driving without a license.
