Angry Dolphin Goes Into Attack Mode On Innocent Swimmer

Rumble / Wild WildlifeWe all picture dolphins as loving creatures that just want to give us kisses. What we don't think is how dangerous the really can be. This infamous dolphin has recently garnered a reputation for being spotted near popular beaches, attempts to scare off a swimmer while marking her territory off Inisheer in Galway Bay, Ireland. Luckily, the swimmer's dog came to the rescue!

Now that's something that you don't see every day! That was surely one scary moment. You can only imagine how scared that person was when the dolphin attacked. Why was the dolphin so angry? Usually they are so docile and sweet, but this sheds a whole new light on them. Sure, they wanted to mark their territory but they seem a little more angry than just marking their territory. None the less this makes for one shocking video.

Footage shows a girl swimming near the coast when a fin appears above the water. The unsuspecting swimmer is instantly attacked by the angry mammal, leaving her little time to try and get away from the animal. She can be heard screaming and panicking to get away from the dolphin while the frustrated creature chases her away! Fortunately, the girl was quick to act and managed to get away from the angry dolphin. Watching this scary incident we have changed our perception about these seemingly sweet animals!

Have you ever seen something like this before? How would you react in this situation? We would love to hear your opinion down in the comments section so please do not hesitate to leave a comment!

Please share this video with your family and friends as it will surely keep them on the edge of their seats! This is one video that no one should miss!

When a Dolphin says "Get out of the water" you get out of the water.

Perhaps there was a danger in the water nearby and the dolphin was really saving that person? Who knows?

That girl was whistling before the hit, that could have been "fuck you" in dolphin language.

Maybe a shark was near her and was simply trying to save her...

Looks to me like that dolphins was trying to play! If it was angry, like this descriptions says, it would have hurt her badly, not just gave her a nudge!

No rescue needed by a dog because the girl was barely nudged by the dolphin. Perhaps it was the dolphin trying to warn her back to the beach because there was something dangerous (ie...shark, huge waves coming, drop off...)

That was just a playful nudge - not an attack.
