Wagner Group Still Vital To Russian Military Operation in Ukraine

Even after the revolt that Russian President Vladimir #Putin called a "mutiny," the #WagnerGroup is still indispensable to #Russia's special military operation in #Ukraine, says a former DPR soldier who knows many of the #Wagner fighters personally.

On the latest episode of the Strange Bedfellows podcast Russell "Texas" Bentley -- an American who joined the #Donetsk People's Republic armed forces in 2014 to fight against Ukraine -- told me that the so-called "coup" of June 24 is not at all what it seems, and certainly not how it is being reported by the Western press.

Bentley has been in the trenches with #WagnerPMC on many occasions over the years, and has great insight into what is really happening behind the veil of secrecy surrounding the mutiny.

He also says that there is still an important role for Wagner to play in the special military operation, and that they are by no means finished.
