Toddler Wants To Go To School, So He Asks Mom For Some Help

Rumble / Babies & KidsWhen it comes to going to school, kids are quite divided. Some hate going, being separated from their loved ones for half the day. Others can barely wait for the morning to come, so that they can put on their backpacks full of books and go to learn new stuff. Then, there are kids like this little guy, always eager to get out in the world and share it with their older siblings.

Brody is still only 3 years old, but he has siblings that are already going to school. He is stuck at home with mom, helping her with the chores, when he would much rather go and play with the rest of the kids. He knows that he is too young to go to the classroom, so he hatches up a plan that is rather ingenious if you ask us, that will make him eligible for school.

One morning, Brody shows up in the family kitchen, all dressed up and ready to go, with his backpack on. He calls his mom and tells her to get a marker. Why, you ask? So that mo could write the number 7 on his forehead.

“But why would I put a seven on your head?” mom asks. “You’re three, honey.”

They go back and forth for a while, before the toddler explains that if he had a 7 on his forehead, it would somehow magically make him four years older. If his parents would just play along.

When mom asks supportively about his backpack, Brody just tells her that is holds his things. That is as valid an answer as any, but his lips quiver when he talks. In the back of his head, Brody knows that this will not work like he had envisioned it.

Seeing how his plan is at an impasse, with tearful eyes he picks up the marker himself and writes a 6 on his forearm, bargaining a year. Seeing how he misses the shape of the numeral, it is clear that he definitely needs to go to school. He’ll just have to have three more birthdays to do so.

This kid is bright and needs to study earlier. The fact he is so upset over not studying is heart breaking. It is okay to start very early. My father started teaching me university material when I was seven. If it is at all possible get a private tutor with a broad based education, so he can have some formal lessons. He is old enough to read and write. My father was at three. I truly hope, he can gain the academic stimulation he so clearly craves

Been thinking. To be part of the solution , I am an English tutor but I have a very board education, I live in Australia but I can maybe Skype tutor for free. Really you need someone there in person. I can get my students to verify who I am via FB. This account is an old one from gaming, my real one got hacked, so I stopped using it. Of course, this is if your not able to afford a tutor where you live. Most of my academic friends teach their children themselves, my cousin sends his two year old to an English school in Japan (they are Japanese), so his son is bilingual now. You son, Brody is bright, I only briefly saw another video with him discussing police. I tutor normally high school kids and previously adults, so not a specialist with young kids. Just really can see he is bright and literally crying out for more. Apologises this is disjointed and I am posting here because I don't know how to message via this application. Cheers :)

He is so adorable with his logic! And mom is patient as well as resourceful (to take such a cute video!) It's now almost 2 yrs later.... is he in Kindergarten? Has he realized yet how not fun school can become??!! Kids are so anxious to grow up! My daughter at 4 said she was 8. At 8 she said she was 16 !!
