The Aurora 1 is a great and affordable 1-person tent. However, it is relatively heavy at 2.5kg. The pack size is decent though. It would be difficult to find a smaller and lighter tent with similar features at this price.
Setting up the tent is easy. The vestibule offers enough space for a large backpack. The inner tent is also long enough for a tall person. The walls are quite steep, so you dont touch the outer tent with your feet.
The construction is good but simple. There is a half mesh/half fabric door and no double zipper on the outer tent. I really like the ventilation. Unfortunately, there were mysterious stains on my tent that I couldnt identify (they looked like grease stains).
I havent tested the tent under heavy wind or rain yet, so I cant comment on its performance in those conditions. The tent can be set up fairly quickly.
There is some extra storage space between the inner and outer tent for small items. Personally, I would find this tent too small for two people.
