John Cooper is the co-founder, lead vocalist and bassist for the Christian rock band, Skillet. Since its formation in 1996, the band has sold over 12 million albums worldwide and received two Grammy Award nominations. John is the author of "Awake & Alive to Truth: Finding Truth in the Chaos of a Relativistic World." John used wokeness as an example and said that it relies on the death of God. It’s not a cultural war, it’s a spiritual issue. He stated that wokeness is angry and feels there is no justice in the world. They are angry at the human condition and angry at God, that there is a created order that they do not want. It’s an atheistic worldview and people are looking to try to make the world right by pointing their finger at everyone else.
