Another awesome first lap, but a hard second race yesterday. Made it to P1 on the first lap after a horrible start by me (several reasons there...). Was running away with the lead for a while but started to make poor traffic decisions and overdrove the car a bit which combined with a full course yellow to drop me back to third. On the restart coming into the brake zone for T12 I was blatantly taken out by a slower driver attempting to be a badass. Then only one corner later I was collected by an incident with the driver who took me out and another driver, dropping me back to seventh and destroying the alignment on the car. With ten minutes left I had to make a decision, settle for seventh, or charge forward with a broken car. I decided to charge forward and soon found myself with 4 seconds gap between myself and third place, Shea Holbrook. In the last few laps I would cut the gap down to only a second, setting my fastest lap of the race on my last lap, with a broken car; a second and a half faster than the times in front of me. All I needed was one more lap to get on the podium but alas, I had started my charge too late. My lap time would put me P2 for the third race of the weekend. Thanks to Compass360 Racing (C360R), Racing4Research - Children's Tumor Foundation, Honda Racing/HPD, and the entire C360 crew for the best Honda in the field. We had the car to win, I'm sorry I couldn't bring it home this time for y'all. Looking forward to the next one!
