As enthusiastic as they might become, sometimes dogs get a little over excited though with their play. Deer, however, are not always playful with animals that are not of their own kind. Known as timid creatures, deer are more cautious and skittish and for good reason, since they are prey to so many other species.

In this video, we see an adult stag with an impressive set of antlers and a boxer interacting, or rather, a boxer eager to interact with the horned equine, while the latter just scouts his visitors. You can tell the boxer really just wants to play! His butt is up, and he bounces here and there with his tail wagging! The deer is, understandably, cautious. It is hard to imagine the deer has ever seen such a happy, bouncy creature and isn’t quite sure what to make of the dog!
