Massive fire in downtown Los Angeles shuts down freeways

Approximately 250 firefighters battled to contain a huge fire at an under-construction apartment complex in downtown Los Angeles, California, which forced the closure of parts of two major nearby freeways. The incident occurred at 2 a.m. on December 8, 2014.
