They say that if you can only teach your dog one trick in its whole life, then you better train it to fetch you beer! And as dogs love a good praise, the excitement in your voice when that cool bubbly refreshment comes down with a little bit of doggie slobber on it makes the entire effort of dragging a rag and poking its nose into a cold fridge worth the while! Besides, hey - it’s fetch!

Let’s not kid ourselves, there are a lot of dogs out there that can actually open a fridge door and fetch a can from inside. The one thing most them don’t do is close that damn door afterwards! Either they are not able to grasp the concept of energy saving, or are just too damn eager to please their owners!

However, this Golden Retriever proves that his breed is the cleverest of them all. The pooch knows how to open the fridge door without it smacking all the way open. Better not damage those fragile hinges! He then reaches up, grabs the bottle of beer and brings it to his owner with a vigorous tail wag.

So when his owner asks him to go get hima beer, Jeff pricks his ears, makes a circle around the garden and gets instantly inside through the dog door following his owner’s order. He reaches the fridge and grabs the tied rag on the handle. We are sure he has done this many times for his owner since he doesn’t struggle with the way he opens the fridge door because nothing has to stand in the way of his human’s happiness!

As the dog flings the door open, he carefully catches the bottle by the neck, goes back outside in the garden and gives the beer to his owner. We hope that he is going to get his favorite treat for this endeavor because he totally deserves it! Jeff is a very good boy!
