During a speech at the Calgary Stampede, Pierre Poilievre had a message for Western 🇨🇦's that they would "have a strong and deserved place" in the confederation of provinces, under a Conservative government.
He went on to say that he would "put an end, once and for all, to the 'Trudeau mentality' that the West should just 'pay up and shut up,'" calling western Canada the 'beating heart' of the economy.

Poilievre also promised to 'stop the unconstitutional attack' on Canadian hunters, farmers, sport shooters, and indigenous people by reversing Trudeau's undemocratic gun bans.

"Across races, religions, and regions, we have a lot more in common than what divides us, and seems to tear us apart. When I was in Atlantic Canada, they were complaining about the same Carbon Tax that is impoverishing the people in Alberta. Quebecers are just as angry as western Canadians about the excess of power, and the intrusion into provincial jurisdiction that we see, across our country," he said.

He continued, "The great way to unite us all is through freedom, because this is the difference between control and freedom. There's only so much 'control' to go around. So if one person gets more, someone else must get less. That's why people fight 'over' control... but they fight 'for' freedom. Why? Because there's enough freedom for everybody."
