I recently purchased the MSR Tents Elixer as my first ever tent and while I havent had the chance to use it for camping yet, I did try setting it up beforehand.
Thanks to watching a few instructional videos beforehand, setting up the tent was a breeze and we were able to do it in about 5 minutes.
The only minor issue we had was the grommets on the opposite end of the pole coming off if too much pressure was applied on one side while setting it up.
Despite that small issue, I am thoroughly impressed with the aesthetic...

Despite that small issue, I am thoroughly impressed with the aesthetic of the tent and it is great for two people. If you plan on using it with three people, then I recommend getting the 3-person option.
One of the best aspects of this tent is the build quality. MSR has done a great job and the tent seems very sturdy and well-made. Setting it up is also very easy and even the storage bag is spacious enough to accommodate a few rough folds.
I plan to use this tent during the warmer months between spring and autumn. Its lightweight, compact, and can be used as a solo shelter or a duo with room for storing your gear.
While the tent is built for mountainous areas, I couldnt shake the feeling that the ceiling was too low when three of us were inside having a meal. The Gear Top 3-4-person tent next door had a higher ceiling and felt more comfortable.
The green color of the tent is perfect for blocking out sunlight and providing some shade during hot days. I recommend buying a tarp to go with it so you can relax outside the tent.
Overall, the MSR Tents Elixer is a great product that I highly recommend.
