How to make Kulhad Pizza at Home
To make Kulhad Pizza at home, you will need the following ingredients and steps:
Ingredients:
Pizza dough (you can make your own or use store-bought dough)
Pizza sauce
Cheese (mozzarella or any other melting cheese of your choice)
Toppings (vegetables, meats, or any other toppings you prefer)
Kulhad (earthen clay cups)
Note: Kulhad cups are available at Indian stores or online, but if you don't have them, you can still make this pizza using regular baking pans or pizza stones.
Here's how you can make Kulhad Pizza:
Preheat your oven to the temperature specified for your pizza dough or follow the instructions provided with the store-bought dough.
Prepare your pizza toppings. Chop and prepare the vegetables or meats you want to use as toppings. Keep them ready.
Roll out the pizza dough into small rounds that fit inside the kulhad cups. Make sure the dough isn't too thick, as it needs to cook evenly.
Lightly grease the kulhad cups with oil or butter. Place the rolled-out dough inside each kulhad, pressing it down gently to fit the shape.
Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce on top of the dough, leaving a little space around the edges for the crust.
Sprinkle a generous amount of cheese over the sauce. You can use mozzarella or any other melting cheese like cheddar, provolone, or a mix of cheeses.
Add your desired toppings over the cheese. You can use a variety of vegetables like bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, olives, or meats like chicken, ham, or pepperoni.
Place the filled kulhads on a baking tray and put them in the preheated oven. Bake according to the instructions for your pizza dough or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted and bubbled.
Once cooked, carefully remove the kulhads from the oven using oven mitts or kitchen towels, as they will be hot. Allow them to cool slightly before serving.
Serve the Kulhad Pizzas while they are still warm. You can garnish them with fresh herbs like basil or parsley if desired.
