We began with a discussion of cluster bombs and why Russia will prevail in Ukraine. NATO's unity will be tested this week at its summit meeting, where security for Ukraine and the possible admission of Sweden are on the docket. (The very idea that admission of Ukraine to NATO could still be a serious subject of discussion at this point is beyond belief.) The most enduring consequences of the war are not likely to be geographical but economic, where the sanctions on Russia demonstrated the abuse of economics by the US and has further contributed to a lack of trust in the dollar. BRICS is thriving and now appears to be introducing a gold-back reserve currency of its own, which is going to weaken the dollar further. It has already lost its privileged position as the unit of exchange in oil transactions and will fall further, to the detriment of US citizens, whose quality of life will take a serious hit. A judge has rendered an historical First Amendment ruling against the Biden admin for interfering with the social media, which (in my opinion) was also exercised by amazon.com, which banned six of my books (and, I have no doubt, was likewise acting as an agent of the state). Several callers defended "no nukes" and flat Earth, where I now plan to feature Joe Olson on a show in a few weeks devoted to both issues.
