repairing and modifying and upgrading puns and saddles on 1990s epiphone ej200 07-09-3023

today's specific pesky workings were to sand and carve some much broader bone puns to replace out thinner, longer yet plastique old ones.
none of which could be worse than typing into this godawful smartphone keypad of course.
i also sanded a bone saddle to replace an extremely old and very divited one which was however questionably better.
well the bone pins did make a difference.

i have a material called formica that is capped behind the rosewood bridgeplate. which really let out vibrations and sound a lot better than the stainless steel and maple Bridge caps i had tried. formica kicks ass compared to those two and i can skip out having the entire bridge plate replaced out.
in the future i have frets or fret wear to maybe be mindful about. but these upgrades and alterations were agitating and hankering onto my being and with effort and persistence i feel the tones are coming through a lot better.

next idea is replacing the string nut with bone, too, but a little at a time seems the best approach.
