The Abu Garcia Revo MGXtreme Spinning Fishing Reel is hands down the best spinning reel I have ever owned. It surpasses even the MGX model in terms of performance and functionality.
One of the standout features of this reel is its buttery smooth operation. The reel glides effortlessly, providing a seamless fishing experience. Additionally, it is incredibly light, making it easy to handle and maneuver while out on the water.
I opted for the size 40 reel, which has a gear ratio of 6:1. This means that with each turn of the handle, the reel winds in one meter of line.
This feature is not only convenient but also speeds up the reeling process, allowing me to spend more time fishing and less time waiting. If I were to make one improvement to this reel, it would be to have a long and shallow spool.
Unfortunately, this model only comes with one spool and does not include any extras. It would have been nice to have an extra spool or a soft pouch included with the purchase.
I specifically purchased this reel for salmon fishing, and it has proven to be a beautiful reel for the money. It is lightweight, allowing for easy casting and maneuverability.
The smooth and fast retrieve of this reel is truly impressive. I can effortlessly reel in fish all day long without experiencing any strain or fatigue.
In fact, I already own three Revo MGX 30s, and this model is very similar in terms of performance. In comparison to my Shimano C1-4 4000 reels, the Revo MGXtreme 30 comes out on top.
While the Shimano reels are fine, they dont quite measure up to the exceptional performance of the MGXtreme. Overall, I cannot recommend the Abu Garcia Revo MGXtreme Spinning Fishing Reel enough.
It is without a doubt the best spinning reel I have ever used. Its smooth operation, light weight, and efficient retrieve make it a joy to use on the water.
