The summer of 2014 has be bathed in moonlight as three perigee 'supermoons' have occurred in July and August, with one more reaching its full phase on the evening of September 8th, 2014. September's 'Supermoon' is also considered a Harvest Moon, as it is the nearest full moon to the September equinox. Credit to NASA and Science at NASA.
