Experience the world's fastest car, the Bugatti Veyron, from a high-definition cockpit view as it travels and reaches top speeds in Idaho, hitting speeds of up to 238.5mph.

The Bugatti Veyron packs a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W-16 engine with 1,200 horsepower, which, safe to say, is more than enough to impress. Just listening to the sound of the revving engine makes us sink into our seats, that’s how strong it is.

The original version had a top speed of 253 mph and was named Car of the Decade and best car award (2000–2009) by the BBC television program Top Gear. The standard Bugatti Veyron also won Top Gear's Best Car Driven All Year award in 2005.

The car's everyday top speed is listed at 213 mph. When the car reaches 140 mph, hydraulics lower the car until it has a ground clearance of about 3.5 in. At the same time, the wing and spoiler deploy. In this handling mode, the wing provides 3,425 newtons (770 lbf) of downforce, holding the car to the road.

All highways were shut down for this top speed run event.
