Step 1 to Building a Spectacular Hunting Property

Step 1 in creating a great hunting property is to put together and plan to regenerate the timber and lay out the food plots.
After meeting with a pulpwood buyer and going over how we want the property cut, we start laying out the food plot. The logging crew will clear the food plots for us as part of the timber sale deal.
Here, we are marking the largest food plot and planning where to place hunting stands.
Being in big woods country, having a large food plot with plenty of high quality forage along with over a hundred acres of regenerated forest is going to draw deer from miles around.
This plan will take a few years to develop but it should produce some great hunting for decades to come.
Seeing the young ones already into the outdoors and nature gives me a great feeling. Long after I'm gone this little guy will enjoy the work we are doing here.
