The Benwood was built in England in 1910 and sunk in 1942 when it collided with another ship. The ship was salvaged and used as target practice by the Army Air Corps. The wreck is highly popular and remains one of the most frequently visited sites in the Florida Keys.
The Benwood lies between 25 feet and 45 feet of depth.
