Do Our Lives Reflect the Faith We Proclaim?

How many of us proclaim one thing with our lips and another with our actions?

Do we APPLY the truths and wisdom we hear to all the facets of our lives?

After hearing this sermon, I want to challenge you to do some quiet self-analysis.
The Book of James describes the "double-minded" person as weak. He also challenges us to "be doers of the word, not hearers only."

In 1 Kings, Ch 18, Elijah asks, "How long will you waver between two opinions?"

Our LORD tells us in Matthew 22 that all the law and the prophets hang on two great commandments: "Love the LORD thy God with all thy heart, all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

To love is the first and great commandment. The second is, “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."

Now apply this to ALL of your interpersonal relationships: family, friends, business, voting,
volunteering, etc., and see how those relationships flourish.
