Suspect charged with murder in Brooklyn, Queens shooting spree on scooter

In a series of random shootings across Queens and Brooklyn, a gunman on a scooter tragically killed an 86-year-old man and injured three others, as reported by the police.

The suspect, identified as Thomas Abreu, 25, was apprehended by law enforcement and subsequently charged with murder, attempted murder, and criminal possession of a weapon.

The police recovered a 9mm handgun with an extended magazine as well as the scooter used in the incidents, ABC 7 New York reported.

Acting Police Commissioner Edward Caban stated that officers were provided with an image of the suspect, which aided in their search across Queens.
