You can find cans or buckets of survival seeds all over the internet. Seed cans are marketed as being essential to your future survival. Are they selling actual hunger insurance or false security? The answer depends on the quality of the product, how it was stored, and the age of the seeds.

In this video, we review our experience with the rate of germination for the seeds in a couple of garden seed cans that we purchased for 2012 planting.
