Snorkeling for Agates | Underwater River Rockhounding

For the first time, I am snorkeling in a river for Lake Superior agates! Finding these underwater gemstones was an insane amount of fun but it did come with its challenges. The sediment in the river made it difficult to spot these agates and caused me to take lots of time to look thoroughly through all the rocks.

I will be doing this again and hopefully again before it gets too cold up here in Minnesota. I believe this method of agate hunting is going to produce some serious finds!
