Frugal Friendly Foods: Fameal - Nutritionally Complete Survival Food From Basic Dry Goods

You can create a nutritionally complete survival meal for about 10 cents a serving. Fameal has been used all over the world by government and rescue organizations to feed starving people. It is made from basic dry goods from long-term storage including wheat, corn, and beans.

In this video, we experiment with fameal and look at some different ways to incorporate this cheap flour replacement into our favorite foods.

The basic recipe for fameal combines:
5 parts whole wheat flour or cornmeal
3 parts bean flour (any variety including soy and lentils)
1 part cooking oil
1 part sugar, honey, syrup, or other sweeteners
Salt to taste
vitamin powder (optional)
