It has been said that any fool can drive a ship ... but try sailing one in close quarters with swift currents and fickle winds. Such is the way in and out of Beaufort, NC, which is definitely not recommended for a straight sailboat (nor the faint of heart), but doable nonetheless with favorable wind and tide.
