Depression affects Christians and non-Christians alike, no matter their station in life. One skill that David is remembered for in scripture is his ability to play music and sing. He was often summoned by a troubled King Saul to play the lyre and wrote many of the Psalms to be sung. These songs and music were often played during times of great distress.
