Robocop takes place in a dystopian Detroit City, as crime runs rampant, and the companies run the show. Good cop Alex Murphy is murdered in the line of duty, and his body is donated for experimentation. He is turned into the mechanical crime fighter, Robocop.

Slowly, Robocop begins to regain memories of his old life, and sets out to avenge the death of Alex Murphy, and solve his own murder. At least, that`s what happened in the good Robocop... not so much in this one.
