https://amzn.to/3py4dRd - Kelty Cosmic Synthetic Fill 0 Degree Backpacking Sleeping Bag, Regular – Compression Straps, Stuff Sack Included
I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this sleeping bag. I recently took it on a camping trip to Peters Mountain in PA, where the temperature dropped to 13 degrees at night.
Despite the uncomfortable night, this bag kept me warm enough to sleep. It definitely pushed the limit of its 0-degree rating, but it performed admirably.
I have owned other "0 Degree" sleeping bags in the past, but none of them have warmed me up quite like this one.
On a recent trip to the high country at an altitude of 8500 ft, where the temperature dropped into the teens, this bag kept me cozy throughout the night.
When I first entered the sleeping bag, it was cold, but within a few minutes, it started to warm up. The foot box of this bag is particularly impressive, providing a nice and warm environment for my feet.
I didnt even need to wear socks, and at one point, I actually got hot in the bag! Although this sleeping bag is a bit bulky, I love using it for car camping.
During a recent trip to the Tetons, where the temperature averaged around 15 degrees at night, I felt extremely comfortable with just my base layer and wool socks.
It truly exceeded my expectations. I purchased this bag specifically for a hammock camping trip on Lake Michigan in October. The weather was quite windy, with our campsite right on the water.
In addition to the sleeping bag, I brought my summer sleeping pad for extra insulation. The bag performed admirably during the trip, keeping me warm throughout the night as the temperature ranged from 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit with some strong winds.
To ensure extra warmth, I did end up wearing long underwear and a fleece jacket, but overall, I was impressed with its performance. When it comes to packing, this sleeping bag is relatively easy to compress.
However, I must mention that it is not suitable for backpacking due to its bulkiness. I had to clip it to the outside of my pack, but for car camping or other situations where weight is not a major concern, it is a great option.
Overall, I am very pleased with the Kelty Cosmic Synthetic Fill 0 Degree Backpacking Sleeping Bag. It has proven to be reliable in cold temperatures, providing a cozy and warm sleeping environment.
Considering its price, it offers great value for money.
