One human race; many nations

The Lord our God created one human race (Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7, 5:1 and Acts 17:26) comprised of many nations (Genesis 9:19 and Acts 17:26). This is why Jesus commands his disciples to go “and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19) and not “all races.” Although we are divided into various ethnic groups, it is important to recognize that we belong to one race. Since we all trace our lineage back to the first man, Adam, there is no basis for dividing humanity into "black" and "white" races. We believe in the unity of the human race. We also believe that “sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned” (Romans 5:12). For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:22-23) and are saved from sin and death by Jesus alone.
