Why did this happen?

As we reported earlier, the landing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the Antonovsky Bridge began to be actively destroyed, without getting a chance to develop success after the landing.

Firstly, a critical mass of people and ammunition has accumulated. There were many wounded who could not be evacuated, and personnel from the right bank continued to arrive.

Secondly, the Armed Forces of Ukraine did not have heavy weapons in this area. The only difficulty was the artillery, which is working on the positions of the RF Armed Forces from the right bank.

Thirdly, as soon as the necessary intelligence data appeared, a missile of the 9K720 Iskander complex flew under the span of the bridge, where the Armed Forces of Ukraine equipped an impromptu command post.

As a result, one span of the bridge collapsed, burying under the rubble those who managed to cross to the left bank.
