Honest Comments: Penn Clash & Clash II Spinning Fishing Reel
https://amzn.to/44nYfRJ - Penn Clash & Clash II Spinning Fishing Reel
The Clash series is perfect for anglers like me who love to fish in tough conditions. I have taken this reel on multiple fishing trips and it has not disappointed me once.
It has proven to be extremely durable and strong. I have caught a wide variety of fish using this reel, including high fin blue catfish ranging from 1 lb to 25 lbs.
It has a long casting distance, allowing me to reach fish that are 50 to 100 yards out. I even managed to hook a 25 lb catfish right in the back part of the tail, and the reel handled it flawlessly.
One thing that really impressed me about this reel is its tightness. Even after several outings, it still feels as tight as the day I first used it. The drag system is also outstanding.
It provides smooth and powerful drag, which was incredibly helpful when I got hung up and had to break off. The handle of this reel is a dream to use.
Whether I am reeling in a fish or slashing through the water with a 5 ounce bank sinker, it is smooth and sturdy. I have no complaints about its performance.
In fact, I was so impressed with this reel that I purchased the smaller version, the 6000, for slip corking in my favorite catfish spots. Comparing it to the Battle and Battle II reels, the Clash definitely comes out on top.
I own both the Battle and Battle II, and while they served me well, they eventually gave up on me due to the hard surf use. Upgrading to the Clash was the best decision I made.
The Clash reel is lighter, stronger, and has a smoother drag system. Despite using the same HT100 material as previous Penn reels, it feels like a higher quality product.
The braid line lay is excellent, thanks to its slower oscillation, which was a major problem with the Battle reels. I ended up buying two Clash reels, one in the 4000 series and another in the 5000 series.
Both have exceeded my expectations and have performed exceptionally well. While the Clash series may not be on par with more high-end reels like the Stella or VS, it is not meant to be, considering its price point.
In conclusion, the Penn Clash and Clash II spinning fishing reel is a fantastic choice for anglers who want a tough and reliable reel. It has proven its durability, strength, and smooth performance on numerous fishing trips.
Whether you are targeting high fin blue catfish or any other species, this reel will not disappoint. I highly recommend it to all anglers.+F35
