Texas to deploy floating barrier in Rio Grande

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has announced the deployment of a floating barrier in the Rio Grande near the border town of Eagle Pass to deter migrant crossings. The Texas Department of Public Safety is overseeing the deployment, with the aim of preventing migrants from entering the river, following recent reports of migrant drownings.
