After living without reliable electricity for over 598 days in their remote cabin, the creators built a self-sufficient off-grid power system to generate their own electricity. They installed a 48 volt solar array with over 10,000 watts of solar panels and 28 kWh of battery storage.
Harvesting the sun's energy through this solar power system required complex engineering work, but after a lot of hard work, mistakes, and perseverance, their system was finally ready for the moment of truth: would the power actually work? The answer came down to flipping a single switch.
With help from Battleborn Batteries, they were able to build an incredible power system that generates enough solar energy to meet the needs of their cabin. The video shows just how much solar power can provide for those living off the grid.
