Creamy Chicken Malai Tikka Recipe
Sure! Here's a recipe for Creamy Chicken Malai Tikka:
Ingredients:
500 grams boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup thick yogurt
1/2 cup fresh cream
2 tablespoons grated cheese
2 tablespoons cashew paste
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons oil
Butter for basting
Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, fresh cream, grated cheese, cashew paste, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, ground coriander, ground cumin, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.
Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and coat them well. Make sure each piece is well coated with the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for better flavor absorption.
Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
Brush the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking. Place the skewers on the grill or on a baking tray if using an oven.
Cook the chicken tikka for about 10-12 minutes, turning them occasionally to cook them evenly on all sides. Baste the chicken with melted butter to keep it moist and add flavor.
Check for doneness by inserting a knife into one of the larger pieces of chicken. If the juices run clear, it's cooked through.
Once cooked, remove the chicken tikka from the grill or oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges.
