CRAZY WRECK HOSPITALIZES THREE, LIVINGSTON TEXAS, 07/09/23...

Crazy Wreck Hospitalizes 3, LIVINGSTON, July 9, 2023 - Shortly after 1 am on July 9, 2023, a pickup with three young males was south-bound on US-59 in Livingston. For some reason (under investigation), the vehicle left the pavement to the right just before the overpass at the south end of Livingston (near Boot Barn). The pickup left the pavement just before the guardrail portion of the overpass, continued down the embankment crossed the road at the U-Turn portion at the bottom, and jumped an small upward embankment landing just short of the creek. The pickup landed on its passenger's side and caught fire. The three young men got out of the burning pickup and made their way back up the embankment where they flagged down passers by. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, and Officers with the Livingston Police Department. One of the young men reportedly dragged his cousin back up the embank because his cousing couldn't walk from the crash. Two of the occupants had bad head injuries. Two of the men were reportedly taken by ambulance to Kingwood Hospital and the third occupant to CHI Livingston. This accident remains under investigation by the Livingston Police Department.
