In Los Angeles beginning June 3rd and lasting until June 8th was one of the most famous race riots in America during 1943. Soldiers stationed in L.A. clashed with the local Mexican population known as "Zoot Suiters" Although nobody was killed, many were injured, mainly zoot suiters.
