Don't miss the time of your visitation

In this passage of scripture, Jesus is grieving as he speaks about the city of Jerusalem. He was speaking to the nation of Israel because they did not realize that the Messiah had come, they did not realize that he was in their midst. The Pharisees were the religious rulers of that day, they studied and were well versed in the scriptures, yet they were blind to the scriptures that showed how Jesus would come, but this happened so that we could be grafted in. They did not know the time of their visitation. How often do we miss the time of our visitation because we are looking for God to show up in a particular way? We pray to God for answers and help but because he does not answer the way we think he should, we miss our visitation.
