Star 102.5 Buffalo (WTSS-FM) Is Gone

Audacy filed to sell WTSS, along with WLFP in Memphis, Tennessee, to the Educational Media Foundation for $15.5 million in April 2023.

WMSX-FM 96.1, a Townsquare Media-owned station, has rebranded itself as "The New Star 96.1" in order to fill the Adult Contemporary gap in Buffalo.

WTSS-FM is grandfathered as a superpower station, with a 110,000 watt Effective Radiated Power (ERP). WMSX-FM has a 47,000 watt Effective Radiated Power (ERP).
