The United States added 209,000 jobs in June and the monthly unemployment rate dropped to a five-decade low, the Labor Department reported Friday. The unemployment rate fell to 3.6% in June, compared to 3.7% the previous month. Economists have been predicting a recession later this year, due to the high interest rates. However, U.S. employers continuing to add jobs, follow deep cuts in labor during the COVID-19 pandemic.
