Clark County FD responds to high-rise fire at Horseshoe Casino

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a high-rise fire at the Horseshoe Casino on the Las Vegas Strip on Friday evening. The incident occurred on the 19th floor, prompting a swift and coordinated emergency response.

Upon arrival, the first engine company found no visible signs of fire. They coordinated with the casino's security personnel, gathered their equipment, and proceeded to investigate inside the property. The firefighters discovered a small fire on the 19th floor.

To contain the fire, sprinklers were activated, effectively confining it to a limited area. The dedicated crews swiftly extinguished the remaining burning material. Given the potential risks and seriousness of the situation, a second alarm was called.

The response to the fire involved a substantial team, comprising 76 personnel, including 11 engines, 3 trucks, 1 heavy rescue unit, 5 rescues, 4 chief officers, and 2 investigators. While some individuals at the scene sought medical attention, none of them required transportation to a hospital. Fortunately, no firefighters sustained injuries during the incident.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and no estimate of the monetary loss has been provided at this time.

The Clark County Fire Department expressed their appreciation for the assistance of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Community Ambulance, and Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, who all provided support and aid at the scene.
