"Hannibal," synonymous with the cannibalistic demon, has become deeply ingrained in popular culture through a trilogy of films ("The Silence of the Lambs," "Hannibal," and "Red Dragon"). Now, NBC is preparing to bring this literary figure to the small screen for the first time. The series is based on Thomas Harris' classic novels and is created by Bryan Fuller, the producer of "Pushing Daisies" and "Heroes." The story follows the psychological journey of Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a renowned psychiatrist and a terrifying serial killer.

Will Graham (played by Hugh Dancy) is a gifted criminal profiler assisting the FBI in tracking down a serial killer. Will possesses a unique way of thinking that grants him astonishing "empathetic influence," with many interpreting this ability as "empathy manipulation." Even in the face of deranged individuals, Will's ability remains effective because he always knows how to lead them on his own terms. However, the killer he is currently pursuing is unlike anyone else; his mind is shrouded in a dark fog that even Will cannot penetrate. Desperate for answers, Will seeks the help of the foremost psychiatric expert in the United States, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, hoping he can find a way to deal with this elusive adversary.

Will and Hannibal, two brilliant minds, form an unstoppable duo known as the "Golden Team," capable of catching any villain that comes their way... almost any. What will happen if Will discovers Hannibal's true identity?
