A few months ago a friend of mine showed me the video for "Ballerina Look Like Jumpman" by DJ Lucas, an unlikely emerging rap star from Western Massachusetts just a few hours from where I grew up. I was sold. A quick tour of the Dark World Records YouTube page put me on to a bunch more songs that quickly entered my playlist and before long I was talking to Lucas on Twitter and making plans to hang out in LA. He rolled through last week and we had a great conversation, mostly about Dunkin Donuts. Enjoy!
